Cynthia Morris writes an excellent piece - Is the “F Word” Really So Bad?
For people like me - yes.
Heaven knows how many unfinished projects I have in my files.
I like to compare myself to Leonard da Vinci in that regard. It is said that on his deathbed he lamented the amount of projects (including “The Last Supper”) he had left incomplete.
He nevertheless was a genius who made significant contributions to Art and Science.
We may not be genius like da Vinci, but there are likely some great results hidden in unfinished projects.
Devise your own system to help you.
One thing that helps me a lot is creating cheat sheets for tasks / systems that are a part of my business.
That way I don’t have to figure out the process from scratch every time. I just start with the first step and check them off one by one as I go down the list.
It saves valuable effort that might not be in plentiful supply when you need to get to work. Try it now.
For online marketers, you’ll find a brilliant example of applying the “F Words” in the 5BuckGuy’s book.

Sabrina,
Thanks for mentioning my article on finishing projects. It’s a subject that most of us creative types are very familiar with.
I’m curious about your cheat sheets. How do you use them? One of my challenges is to actually use the lists and plans I make rather than let them get moldy in a notebook.
Thanks again and keep writing!

Hi Cynthia,
Notebooks don’t work well for me at all.
What I do now is maintain a totally private blog for my business note-taking. I am completely adding systems on the inside of that blog and the good thing is that with categories, tags and such it is easily searchable.
Whenever I am working on a project, it is very easy to pull up related cheatsheets as applicable.
