As you may recgnize by now, my intent as a business owner is to keep my focus squarely on the customer (and potential customer) at all times. In the online virtual environments I find myself in sometimes, I often wonder if somehow the world has shifted and the way to succeed is to essentially be rude to customers and in fact boast about how much one can make off of the customer.
It is really a breath of fresh air to hear leading marketers and business people revere their customers.
Like Willie Crawford did when he said here, “Briefly, my seldom-used tools are: actually caring about your customers; a lot of actual customer contact; and giving them tremendous value.”
He calls these “Rarely-Used but Very-Effective Internet Marketing Tools” - tools we should all pull out, dust off and start using furiously, n’est ce pas? These tools are also the basis for Word of Mouth / Viral marketing.
Whether you own your own products or only sell products and services for another company, find a way to make customers feel special and exceed their expectations.
